I am back from a whirlwind trip to Houston, TX (and Oklahoma, but more on that later to preview all that’s coming up at the Disney Parks and Resorts in the season ahead! The event mainly focused on the opening of Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World this summer on June 30th!
Play Big at Toy Story Land!
The event was a lot of fun, and as usual Disney knows how to throw a party and get people excited for things coming down the pipe! The event was themed down to the last detail, from festive rock candy colorful Toy Story cocktails to adorable block centerpieces to red chairs! The famous Green Army Men greeted us upon entering, and brought people up on stage for fun skits and lots of laughs. Throughout the night as we learned about what’s coming, fun entertainment and a themed three course meal kept everyone engaged and happy.

Awesome centerpieces!
So what is coming this summer? Over at Walt Disney World, Toy Story Land will feature the all new Slinky Dog Dash roller coaster, great for families and kids 38″ tall and above. Alien Swirling Saucers is a fun bumper-car type attraction in Toy Rockets, where you swirl around and may even get lucky to be chosen by the “claw” 🙂 Both new attractions will feature Fast Pas Pluss. The ever popular Toy Story Mania will be incorporated into this new land! Finally, if you get hungry you can go to Woody’s Lunch Box for old fashioned fare, themed Toy Story treats and soda floats! Some Disney Dining Plans will be accepted. Check out more on the Walt Disney World site!
Watch out for these guys this summer!
Over at Disneyland Resort, Pixar Fest kicks off on April 13th and runs through September 3. At Disneyland Park, the Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular fireworks show will celebrate friendship and even feature a flying Buzz Lightyear! The Pixar Play Parade (formerly at DCA) will be going down Main Street during this celebration, while Paint the Night will be over at DCA along with new dessert and dining packages, plus themed merchandise.
Disney Cruise Line just announced the rest of their 2019 itineraries, and they have some great new stuff! Adventures By Disney is adding a fabulous Seine River cruise that looks fantastic. And Aulani has added new Moana experiences for the kiddos, plus all the great pools, Kid’s Club, snorkeling lagoon and a luau!
Our night ended with a surprise visit from Woody and Buzz, and the reminder that “You’ve Got a Friend In Me” (from Disney). We got to take home some fun goodies that my kids are loving as well. If you’re interested in booking a Disney vacation, please get in touch with me! 🙂 Lots of magic on the way!
