Spa Day in Palm Springs!

Everyone needs a little pampering time, right? And sometimes we can’t get away overnight… so occasionally some girlfriends and I try to do a day trip to a spa! We have tried them at numerous hotels in the Southern California area, and this time checked out Azure Spa at the Riviera Hotel in Palm Springs.    We got a great deal as a group, which was to include a massage, pool passes, spa access for the day (plus the hotel pool) and complimentary champagne on arrival.

The Resort itself has been remodeled and the pool is gorgeous, as is the spa itself.  It’s an inviting space with a hot tub, temperature controlled pool, refreshments and relaxing atmosphere.  It would definitely be a great place to chill and hang out for a day!  The massage itself was great too – the therapists were very nice, professional, and accommodating.  Out by the pool, the servers were very nice, worked hard to bring good drinks of good quality, and tried their best.  Inside the spa, the attendants were also very kind (shout out Henry for all his efforts!)  and trying their best.  The only downside of the day was the front desk staff, which wasn’t as helpful, took frequent breaks, and seemed to try and want to short change or give the bare minimum when it came to perks and services. We later learned that many of the kind staff was new and the turnover rate appears very high. We aren’t sure if this is the case at all the locations in the area or just this one in particular, but the first and last experience (check in and check out) was definitely lacking and seemed unfair to put a negative taste in ones mouth that could potentially backfire on the hard working attendants in between!

In any case, the facility is beautiful, as well as the hotel,  and definitely worth a shot for an affordable splurge day if you’re visiting the Palm Springs area!
