After our great trip to Orlando for the Earmarked Owners Summit, we had the unexpected chance thanks to Mr. CT’s conference to stay mid week at the Paradise Pier Hotel by Disneyland. We have stayed there several times in the past, including club level which is always a nice perk and we love the premium views, but it’s always good to revisit a place! The kids absolutely love the slide at Paradise Pier, California Screamin’, which happens to be the longest at the Disneyland Resort! The nice thing is the pool here is rarely busy, so you can continuously ride it without a long line. The lifeguards were fantastic too – some of the nicest Cast we’ve dealt with in awhile, enough that my seven year old made a comment about how great they are! The hotel also sports a regular pool, a hot tub, and the Sand Bar, which is open seasonally.
Pool Games are a nice touch!
The Sand Bar also has hot food available from Surfside Lounge
My colleague did a Disneyland Resort Hotel Site Tour last week, and had reported to me about the additions for the Pixar Fest celebration. The former beachball pillows are now the Pixar ball, and subtle touches have been added to the bathroom as well. Many are speculating that the Paradise Pier Hotel may over time transform to the Pixar Pier hotel, though I should stress that NOTHING has been said about that at all, it’s all rumors. The remodels mentioned at WDW and the Grand Californian are in general being slowly pushed out at all hotels, so it will be interesting to see what happens at this spot.

In the meantime, it considers to be the most economical option on property at Disneyland Resort, with great views of DCA, a fun rooftop pool, and the Surfside Lounge is an easy spot for casual fare, cocktails, coffee and dessert – they now offer yummy Poke bowls, which were taken from the menu at the nearby popular Trader Sam’s! The PCH Grill also has a fun character breakfast in the mornings, with a traditional dinner and dinner buffet in the evenings. They also have a small kids area with a TV, an arcade, and conference/meeting space, along with a fitness center and concierge lounge. 🙂 Even though we had a standard view room, the kids still enjoyed catching good glimpses of Paint the Night!

We also enjoyed seeing some of the Pixar updates in Downtown Disney! The topiaries for the various Pixar movies are so cute and a fun touch! If you’re planning a trip to the Disneyland Resort, contact me to plan your stay at Paradise Pier – or any of the other great options on and off property! 🙂
