Pismo Beach – Still a Favorite!

This is a short post, but I wanted to highlight how much I STILL love Pismo Beach and especially the Kon Tiki Inn, as mentioned in last year’s post.

We returned this year for an adult getaway to the wonderful Penthouse Suite at Kon Tiki, complete with fireplace, fitness center access, and a complimentary breakfast – but let’s not neglect the main attraction, which is OCEAN FRONT views, which are spectacular no matter what the temperature outside (especially with a fireplace!)   At just about $150 a night plus tax during the “off season”, this place is a steal – and the staff couldn’t be nicer! We also tried two new amazing restaurants this trip… The Oyster Loft down by the water, which has spectacular fresh oysters, amazing sea food all around, delicious cocktails, and super ambience with sunset views!  We also tried the new Oasis location, which has been a popular Mediterranean restaurant and catering establishment in San Luis Obispo and now has a darling location in the old Shell Cafe building in Pismo – literally right across from the Kon Tiki!  The food here is authentic and amazing!  Reasonably priced too – Karim is from Morocco, and so kind and so talented!   Definitely encourage supporting this family run business!  We can’t wait to return!

Pismo Beach is truly our Hawaii on the California Coast – outside of the cooler temperatures (which we honestly enjoy at times) – the coastline and amenities here are incredible for all ages! Such a great getaway for both couples AND families! Have you been?
