It’s no secret from many past posts on here that we love San Diego. We have used it as a vacation spot, a pre-travel stay over spot, a place for day trips, and much more! It’s beautiful, has tons to do, and is full of convenience! However, it had been many years since I visited the beautiful Coronado Island – and it’s a pretty spectacular place in San Diego!

We had a lovely Stand Up Paddle along the coast line in the afternoon from Bike and Kayak Tours – stingrays, fish, and incredible scenery made for a fantastic afternoon! The water was lovely, too! We lucked out and finished our paddle practically within walking distance of our lovely room at the Coronado Island Marriott – a lovely hotel with great views (we even saw Flamingos!), a quiet pool with ocean/bay views, and outstanding service. The rooms were nice and spacious, too!
Coronado Island Marriott has spacious rooms,
a lovely pool on the water and great views!
On my next visit, I hope to explore more of the Coronado Island Marriott property! During the evening of our stay, we got to explore the wonders of the famous Del Coronado at night, including beach displays and Christmas decorations. This historical hotel is a lot of fun to visit, even if you are not a guest! We had a delicious Mexican food dinner at the famous Miguel’s Cocina which is perfect for families or couples, and great San Diego fare!
The Del is gorgeous at night! Nothing beats Mexican food in San Diego!
Our weekend ended off the island at beautiful La Jolla Cove, a place we visited often in college but don’t see enough of in the adult years! Our breakfast at Brockton Villa Restaurant was lovely with ocean views and lovely company! There are so many hotspots and hotels to try in La Jolla, this is truly a destination in itself!
La Jolla is such a gorgeous spot!
