Occasionally, Mr. CT and I get out to Disneyland without the kiddos – our routine go to spots are the amazing Napa Rose, as well as breakfast at Steakhouse 55 – both of which I HIGHLY recommend adding to any Disneyland itinerary! They are dining at its finest and great service, too! 🙂 When we do this, we often stay at a local Resort, either on property or in the local Anaheim area. You can check out my reviews of the Hilton Anaheim and Sheraton Anaheim, which are both nearby the Anaheim Marriott that we decided on this weekend. The Homewood Suites is another place we’ve stayed and reviewed that is right across the street!
The Anaheim Marriott offers spacious rooms and great views with balconies!
Compared to Hilton and Sheraton, the Marriott is definitely more business oriented in ambiance and service options but extremely nice. The pool, lounge, bar, and marketplace with Starbucks and quick service food options are all super nice and convenient for families. The valet parking is reasonable (not much more than self parking) if you are driving into the Resort, and the hotel is within easy walking distance of Disneyland, Anaheim Gardenwalk, and many shops and dining options. It’s also across the street from the Toy Story Parking Lot which is a convenient transportation option!

We ended up with a great corner room that had decent views of the backside of DCA, and the Anaheim City lights. While it was rainy and stormy weather (a first in So Cal 😉 ) , this would be a nice covered balcony location if you wanted to enjoy the evening sights or relax after a day in the parks. The room had a fridge, separate coffee bar area, and separate bathroom, plus plenty of window and viewing space. If we had the kids, there’d have been plenty of place to stash them and room for all of us on a basic theme park stay where little time is spent in the room. The service was great, everyone was very nice and accommodating, and it was ideal for our short Disneyland visit. Overall, the Hilton seems to have the best views of the parks and pool/room options for families, while the Sheraton is the most casual (though also slightly closer to the Resort). We’d rank the Marriott in the middle of these three, but higher for business travelers looking for something a little quieter and upscale with adult options.
